FEATURES
The latest addition to the MikroTik IoT product family, the KNOT is a truly versatile device with exceptional connectivity and support for the Narrow Band protocol. It is an IoT gateway using narrowband and CAT-M technology. Due to the low cost of low bandwidth cellular, it is supported by countless mobile operators around the world.
You can use KNOT as a TCP bridge from wired Modbus sensors to send readings to a Modbus server. Yes, KNOT provides wireless communication with wired sensors and actuators such as electricity meters and relays.
It can be used as a redundant Ethernet connection or as a control channel for your network. The NB/CAT-M monthly plan is much cheaper than LTE. Why waste extra money on bandwidth you don't need? For example, you can operate a KNOT-based vending machine with temperature and humidity sensors for just a few megabytes per day!
With a Bluetooth interface, you can use KNOT for asset tracking and telemetry based on Bluetooth advertising packages. KNOT supports any BLE tag that sends ad data. iBeacon, Eddystone or any other format. It has powerful filters to only forward matching packets and ignore others.
KNOT is a great tool for most outdoor cabinet IoT applications. It comes with a DIN rail mount, making it easy to integrate with all types of installations, from agriculture and asset tracking to cold chain monitoring, industrial manufacturing, and more. Provide flexible, low-cost connectivity to the most remote or complex sites with MikroTik KNOT!
